The simple, bold forms of these candlesticks are characteristic of the modern design aesthetic Zabari learned while studying under Ludwig Wolpert (1900-1981) at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Zabari later succeeded Wolpert as director of the Tobe Pascher Workshop in New York. Compare the form of these candlesticks to the Wolpert pair nearby.
